The new Farming Hub goes live

lisa Lisa, 13th January 2016

The lovely Lawrence at Farming Hub approached us to create a new site for farminghub.co.uk. His old site was built using Umbraco, but for his new site Lawrence wanted something custom built so as to perfectly suit his requirements.

He needed a site with a fresh new look; modern, easy to navigate around and most importantly responsive. Therefore we created all of the above but we used CodeIgniter to custom build the ideal site for Lawrence and his visitors. Farming Hub is a one-stop shop for those in the farming industry, looking to buy and sell machinery, livestock services, building and property maintenance and much more.

Payment and Subscriptions

With new adverts going up regularly we needed to provide Lawrence with a safe and secure payment system which met his needs and those of his clients. So we installed Worldpay for payments and subscriptions and created a clever little option for those wanting to 'pay as you go' for adverts. Those on a subscription model have a monthly allocation which the site has to manage as ads are added.

New Features

The new site features a full directory with dedicated listings for each trader that feature a contact section, map and direct link to the traders website. There's also an updated blog to get all of the latest news and updates in the industry. Ads are found via a detailed search including a map of regions to select, filter options, keyword search and category selection, making it easier to rent or buy machinery across the country.

Farminghub.co.uk is dynamic, responsive and kitted out with a stack of great features to make searching for what you need, quick and easy. With this new site, Farming Hub certainly stands out as an expert in their field; cheesy pun intended!
