The web is a fantastic tool for building and maintaining communities across huge geographical boundaries. Letting people share thoughts and ideas with the people who are interested (and some of whom aren't).
We've created a whole host of community websites for our clients, from basic forum installations, right up to fully fledged social media applications. Facebook achieved 350 million users in it's first 5 years of existence... Twitter got somewhere near 50 million in it's first couple of years. Both took the world by storm and are changing all our lives in ways previously un-thought of just a few years ago.
