Our good friends over at London based design agency Hotrod came to us with their designs for their new portfolio site and we were more than happy to assist! The site is a bespoke build on CodeIgniter with a very easy to use CMS to let the Hotrod team keep their portfolio and team pages up to date.
The site is fully resposive and uses WordPress to power it's blog, which is fully customised to blend seamlessly in with the main CodeIgniter site.
Lisa and Tom have done wonders with the new Hotrod website. Not only did it seriously need a revamp after almost 7 years of out-datedness, but the site used Flash, and seriously you can't see Flash on a mobile phone! How rubbish were we?
Our new site works on every tablet, phone and desktop, works beautifully it resizing to fit the varying screen sizes, and looks dead good and proper!
We were always proud of our work, but our old site really didn't do it justice. It was embarrassing. However, what Tom and Lisa have managed to do with our new look, makes the site so easy to use and view our projects that we are now actively asking clients to view it, rather than sheepishly suggesting they shouldn't bother.
18a have changed Hotrod for the better, and thanks surely a good thing.
