We were asked by Stuff2Send.com to carry out usability testing on their site prior to it's launch in December 2008. We immediately made some suggestions as to the registration/sign up processes, and once it was live we became the principle development company on the Cake PHP based project.

Since the site's launch, we have completely redesigned the look of the site and added many features such as an integration with the Ebay API, a blog, auto-email alerts, and sophisticated user dashboards.

When the site was sold to an American firm in Summer 2009 we were delighted to be asked by them to continue working on the project, proving that you really can work anywhere in the world if you're in a web based industry. A couple of skype meetings and a few emails and you're good to go!

The new owners have brought many changes to the site, most recently moving to a transactional model, rather than the previous annual subscriptions premise.

The sale of the site temporarily ended the affiliate programme we were managing - where we were using seasonal creative and features, along with direct contact to affiliates.

18a are both a pleasure to work with, and exceedingly professionally capable. They are able to understand the customer intent, recommend a variety of options, and in a very structured, but non-rigid manner, build, test and deliver rather good websites. Rather good on functionality as well as simplicity and appeal. I found 18a had a rare combination of the 3 essentials I feel make a website project work - creative, technical and then project management. Not only do the sentiments above apply, but a rare passion to work hard to get it right comes through. Flexibility, responsive and real "partners". Indeed, I've used 18a on 2 major websites now and have no hesitation in using them again.
