The rise of AI

tom Tom, 23rd March 2023

AI is quickly becoming one of the most talked-about topics in 2023 and if early indications are right, it stands to radically transform many people's lives - in a very big way in a very short space of time!

AI, or artificial intelligence, is a branch of computer science that focuses on creating intelligent machines that can think and act like humans. AI systems are designed to learn from their environment. They use massive language models and make decisions based on the data they receive. They can be used to automate mundane tasks, such as scheduling appointments or sorting emails, as well as more complex tasks, such as recognizing faces or understanding natural language.

Right now the world is talking about OpenAI's Chat GPT and GPT-4. But today Google released Bard, which, unlike ChatGPT has access to real-time information, making it potentially even more disruptive to the way we work than Chat GPT. We've joined the Wait List for Bard today - and what's interesting about Google's approach is how cautious they seem to be about it all. There's not the fast paced confidence of previous tech launches - they're very much emphasising this is an experiment, and the bear with them as they work on it.

The possibilities for AI are endless, and the technology is only going to become more powerful and more widespread in the years to come. We're just at the start right now, and as AI continues to evolve, it will open up new opportunities for businesses and individuals alike.

We've been exploring the possibilities of the new OpenAI ChatGPT API, ask it a question here - be careful what you ask for though, you only get 10 questions per day.
