We’ve been keeping this under our hats for a few weeks now but we can finally shout it from the roof tops – we’ve been named one of the Nation’s Favourite Businesses by Small Business Britain and Small Business Saturday.
We are ridiculously proud and excited to have been recognised in this year’s cohort of the Nation’s Favourite Businesses; it means so much to us for our work of the last 20 years to be recognised and we’re looking forward to hosting lots of events in the coming months to help small businesses get ready for the next stage of the Internet.
It’s been a busy few days getting ready for the announcement and it’s going to be a busy few months sharing as much help and advice as possible.
Whilst we are a small company ourselves, by choice, we work with companies of all shapes and sizes, all over the world, with the websites we look after being visited by millions of people a year.
We’ve been asked many times over the years why we’re “still” a small agency and the answer is simple – because everyone at 18a loves websites. And as soon as you grow, there’s more time spent on running a business than working with clients to build websites.
So if you want to work with experienced, hands-on Directors who have been in the trenches for over 2 decades, working with brands such as Aardman, the NHS, Nectar and Sainsbury’s, as well as other massive brands and countless less well known names, please do get in touch.
I think the joy of working with a small business is that you so often get the passion and expertise of the founders. Tom and I are heavily involved in all of 18a’s projects, but even in small businesses where you don’t work with the founders directly, I think their influence is more strongly felt in the work and service their company provides.
A big focus of Small Business Britain is their flagship event, Small Business Saturday, where the public are asked to consider the brilliant range of products and services available from smaller companies. This year Small Business Saturday falls on Saturday December 5th.
We’re still finalising what we’ll be doing on that day, but we will be putting on various talks and opportunities for small businesses to learn more about how to get the best from their website in the run up to December, because of course the 5th December itself is going to be a very busy day for some people and they don’t want to be learning about SEO and AI on that day!
If you’d like to be kept updated with invitations to our free talks / events / opportunities, please join our mailing list. We don’t email more than once a week and you can of course unsubscribe at any time.
