Hi,
If you’re in the UK, wasn’t it so lovely to see some sunshine this weekend? (I write this email on a Monday when the weekend is still within living memory.)
The kids played outside (even though it was pretty breezy and biting cold) and I sat in the outdoor garden room we DIY’d last year, which was good for the soul.
Your quick task this week:
OK, so I had a plan for this email, but then I kept thinking of other bits you should do to really make it count…
So I decided to split it into 3 parts because I want these emails to always be manageable, quick easy wins.
Bonus points if you see where I’m going with this…
Part 1 – this week – if you haven’t got one already – set up a Google Business Profile. It doesn’t cost anything.
And if you have got one already, write some updates on it.
Did you even know you could do that?!
Just a sentence or two of text about a company update, event or offer. Upload a pic if you can, and give a link for people to read more (Google lets you choose text for a button).
I just did 4 updates on our profile, scheduled to appear one a week throughout March, in less than 15 minutes.
I did one about a masterclass I’m hosting for a business group in a few weeks, one about work we’ve done a lot of lately (tracking Meta ads conversions to help clients understand the return on their ad spend), 1 about our report into the best DIY website builders of 2026, and just a random blog post I wrote about images and SEO. I basically went through our blog and picked 4 things.
Make your Google Profile look good and fresh – upload a couple of photos if you can – and I’ll see you next week for the next step…
Have a great week,
Lisa
