Dear,
Hope you’re enjoying summer – I “DJ’d” the local school fete on Saturday 😂. It’s been 25yrs since I did something like that – and I loved it and it wasn’t embarrassing, which was what I’ve been fretting about for weeks.
This week…
- The latest Google tool to make the most of
- A new way to know what is working for you
- Your invitation for Thursday
Google have rolled out a new feature in Google Search Console that lets you monitor your social media profiles.
Now, you can know if your efforts on Instagram, TikTok, X or YouTube are bringing visitors to your brand from Google searches.
Here’s how you find it although – HEADS UP – it’s only been out a few days and it seems it’s still being rolled out as not everyone can see it yet. If you can’t, don’t worry, just try again next week.
- Log into GSC
- From the properties (sites) drop down in the top left, select “Add property” (the last thing in the list)
- Click on the network you’re adding and fill in the details.
And that’s it!
(I’ve heard some big sites/brands go to do it and find Google have already added it, so don’t be freaked out if that’s the case for you.)
I’m not saying you need to hatch a whole new social media strategy, I’m just saying that if you’re active on social media, you can now – if you want to – know if that content is getting you traction from web searches.
And you can use that info to do more of what works (or less of what doesn’t).
Meanwhile I’m busy this week prepping the 3rd talk in my agentic web series. If you haven’t yet, leave your email address here and I’ll make sure you get the dial in details via email.
I thought I was being clever planning a talk for before the schools broke up and giving myself August off from speaking (the 4th in the series is in September) – but I forgot how busy the end of term is with sports days and presentations and shows… 🤯 Hope you’re managing whatever you’re juggling.
Speak soon,
Lisa
