We’re always mentioning the latest places we’ve eaten in Bristol to friends and family outside the city – and increasingly these little gems are getting the recognition they deserve!
After achieving Bristol’s first Michelin Star, Casamia in Westbury-on-Trym have just been crowned Britain’s best restaurant by Gordon Ramsey! Brothers Jonray and Peter Sanchez-iglesias cooked their way through the final, accompanied by their parents as front of house. I was lucky enough to be taken to Casamia for lunch last Valentine’s Day, and their innovative presentation and and use of ingredients is certainly a great experience!
And meanwhile, Easton based Thali Cafe have just been announced as Britain’s best “cheap eat” by the Observer. This comes within a year of them winning the BBC Food and Farming award for the UK’s best takeaway.
We’re based on Gloucester Road in Bristol and so some of our favourite places to eat out include Ezo, a fantastic Turkish restaurant who’s moussaka recipe I really want, and La Ruca – the best South American food this side of well – South America!
