UK Number 3 in Top Startup Hotspots

,Everyone knows Silicon Valley is the 'home of the startup', but here in the UK, we're not doing too badly in terms of levels of innovation. There are clearly some motivated people around the UK, trying to dream up new ideas and push new online startups. So why then have the vast majority of successful, big online ventures (Facebook, Google, Twitter) come from across the water? I suspect the answer is quite simply money!
Despite popular belief that great websites go 'viral' in reality it takes a great deal of money behind them, pushing them in the right direction, and the investment community in the UK is far more tight walleted than their contemporaries in the US, particularly when it comes to riskier online ventures.
